Hilary is an artist, a naturalist, and an educator. Some of her earliest memories are of wearing smocks and painting at easels in pre-school in West Lafayette, IN. Her passion for the visual arts has been lifelong. She is an illustrator and mixed media artist who has worked in photography, oil painting, textiles, printmaking, papermaking and jewelry. She currently works with materials that are recyclable and upcycles cans and magazines into functional accessories. In addition, she works in the field of scientific il¬lustration. Hilary has been an educator for the past thirteen years. With degrees in both biology and art education she has taught environ¬mental education, guided adventure trips and taught visual arts at the K-12 level. She has been teaching art to K-8th grade students at the Aspen Community School for nine years. She also teaches at Anderson Ranch in Snowmass Village, CO during the summer. Hilary lives in Basalt, CO.
